There are two ways to get working TAGBASE tags:
- Preconfigured tags — the default. Order tags and we ship them ready to use: apply them to your products, and they work. We make sure you always get the correct tags.
- Tags you write yourself — for testing, experimenting, and small batches. Source blank tags on your own and configure them with the TAGBASE Writer app. TAGBASE works with specific dynamic NFC tags, so ordering compatible blanks is up to you.
Most teams go with preconfigured tags and never need the Writer app. If you write your own, it turns your phone into a tag writer: hold a blank tag to it, and the app sets it up and links it to your product. Your customers verify products in a browser without installing anything.
Get the Writer app
The app is free on both stores. Point your phone’s camera at the code for your platform, or tap the badge to open the store page.
Sign in and link your team
Open the app and sign in. The app hands you to the browser: sign in with your TAGBASE account, then pick the team that holds your tags — or link your Verify team. You can switch teams later from the app’s account menu.
Write a tag
Pick a product in the app and hold a blank TAGBASE tag to your phone. The app sets the tag up and links it to your product. The tag is live from that moment.
